Bold, Retro & Unapologetically Real: Los Angeles Branding Photography for Business Coach Kaitlin Anthony
If you’ve ever looked at a business coach’s website and thought “Wow, this could be anyone,” you’re not alone—and Kaitlin Anthony agrees. That’s exactly why she booked her latest brand photography session: to ditch the generic boss-babe vibe and step into a new era of visuals that actually feel like her.
Kaitlin is the powerhouse behind The Beam Life and the Goal Slayer podcast, known for helping women rewrite the rules around success, confidence, and ambition. She’s bold, hilarious, authentic, and full of contagious energy—which meant her next round of brand photos had to be just as dynamic.
The Goal: A Full Brand Ascension (Minus the Blazer)
During our planning call, Kaitlin made it clear: no stiff poses, no power suits, no empty "boss babe" energy. She wanted photos that felt elevated, stylish, and high-end—but still FUN. Think: colorful print pants, fuzzy pink sweaters, disco ball props, and a vibe that screams “empowered woman” without mimicking everyone else in the coaching space.
She also had a crystal-clear reason for updating her visuals: she had never had professional brand photos done before.
I never shame anyone who’s in this position – I’m actually always in truly inspired by folks who have built a powerhouse business without ever getting in front of the camera before. It really is a testament to how far you can get with grit, passion and determination!
But, the time had come; she was launching a brand-new website, as well as a new group program, and she deserved images that matched the next level of her brand. As she put it, "I’m ready for a whole new vibe and a whole new ascension."
Planning the Shoot: Funky, Retro, and So. Much. Personality.
We pulled inspiration from Kaitlin’s new color palette—corals, hot pinks, and bold graphics—plus her signature lightning bolt and leopard print branding. To bring this to life, we chose a studio in downtown LA with clean white walls, great natural light, and just enough furniture to let her curated outfits and personality deliver the vibes and stories.
Kaitlin styled her own wardrobe (she was a stylist in a past life!), mixing layered looks with bold textures. Each outfit was a twist on traditional "business" attire: unexpected color pops, statement accessories, and just enough edge to say “I’m not your typical coach.”
Our session included shots for:
Her new website
A redesigned podcast cover
Upcoming launch content and Instagram visuals
...all tied together with a fresh, cohesive brand story.
Real Confidence, No Filters
What I loved most about photographing Kaitlin was her dedication to staying true to herself. She wanted her audience to feel like they already knew her just by scrolling through her photos. And that’s exactly the kind of imagery I live for: storytelling through visual details, grounded in the real person behind the brand.
From laughter between outfit changes to playful disco ball poses and power-stancing on a stool, this shoot was pure magic—and proof that personal branding doesn’t have to mean fitting a mold. Kaitlin is building something different, and her photos finally reflect that.
